Conclusion of Jack-Jack

So Saturday I had my very first sitter, Lindsay, (a.k.a. angel) and I am happy to write it went very well! When we drove to pick her up, Jack was on the verge of crying and he kept saying "no Lindsay". Haleigh was off at a birthday party so that made matters even worse for Jack. So I showed Lindsay around and I gave Jack a hug. Then the lip quiver began. I don't do well with that-not at all. I figured I'd pay Lindsay for an hour of her time & take her home. But I really needed time away from Jack so I said let's go in the backyard and show Lindsay your water table. Jack started playing and Lindsay swooped right in and became his instant buddy. I said a quiet goodbye to Lindsay and told her call me if he gets upset. I was off!!!! In the car-no Jack-no Max & Ruby playing-no fighting...............FREEDOM!!!!!! So as any mid-30 yr. old I blared Backstreet Boys & Janet Jackson.
I was only gone for 2.5 hrs. but I really missed Jack. Pathetic I know, what a Mom I am-eww. Haleigh & I came home & I told Lindsay "thank you" over & over & she told me Jack was good for her, I figured so, he saves his meaness mostly for Haleigh. So there it is. I look forward to when we have Lindsay back and this time Haleigh will be home and just maybe Jeff will be with me. Hail all good babysitters-you're a godsend!!!!

I am so happy to hear that Jack-Jack was a good boy. See, I knew he could still be that sweet little guy that I remember. And you say he is a monster... Hmph!

I hope you had a nice time away, even for only a few hours.

Ha! You crack me up.

I don't think it's pathetic at all. If we never leave their sides, we miss the opportunity to miss them. Good thing you got away! ;) I just think it shows how devoted of a mom you are to your goods. How could that be pathetic or a bad thing?

I wish we lived in town. I'm sure Lindsay makes a GREAT sitter!
