H & J Quotes

I couldn't resist sharing some of the thoughts that come out of Haleigh & Jack's mouth's. Jack first: (this was at the beach as it was getting dark) "Mommy, the moon is broken! we have to go fix it!" I laughed & said it wasn't broken it was just a different shape (crescent shaped). How cute is that? Then this morning he said: "Mommy, c'mon, let's go drive to the North Pole! get sissy up NOW! drive to North Pole!!" (he is very excited about Santa) I said to him it is too far to drive to drive there & we need really warm coats. He then said: "Mommy, it's not far, we just go up the fireplace". :)

Now Haleigh's is a bit more thought out. Yesterday my parents once again (ok, I'm back, Jehovah witnesses were at the door) (two white men-surprising). came to our rescue & watched Haleigh & Jack so I could help Jeff clean. I OWE THEM BIG!!!!
Anyways, I came back to their house & I was a bit annoyed with what Dr. Pennell said to us (he is the principle) Jeff told him that I work
with him, not for him. Dr. Pennell seemed to be amused & said that well, ok, but ya know, I'm his wife. Whooa!! I do not even have the time to comment on that nonsense. So I told my parents & my mom even had my back & said "absolutely you don't work for Jeff!" She may not really mean that, but it was nice of her to say. So, I was getting ready to go out & cut their lawn when my dad jokingly said, "Sue, you shouldn't have had children, you should have been a career woman". I was too tired to give a good comeback but Haleigh sure was awake. She responded by saying: " Pop-Pop, I'd be happy for Mommy if she had a career", She always is with us & it would be nice to spend more time with daddy". "Besides, I go to school, that's my career right now, right?" That doesn't mean I love Mommy or Jack any less". "When Mommy is working now, she always tells me it's to make everything better, she really wants Jack & I to have good future". My dad just looked at her dumbfounded. I was a bit smitten myself. I said to myself, "thanks God,my daughter rocks."

Tell Jack that theoretically, we're closer to the North Pole, so he should come visit us again. :)
That's so sweet-the fireplace. Do you guys have a fireplace?

And Haleigh:

That is awesome! I wish I could have seen dad's face. What a smart girl. Good for her. I hope she always has that spunk. ;)

Sharon, yeah we have a fireplace which is why I think Jack has taken such an interest in Santa. Jeff showed when we moved in that is where Santa comes in! I'll drive through Alaska if you will.
