Ok, berfore I start, Greg, if you could quit your Jenna Fisher nonsense for a minute then perhaps you could walk me through the pictures!!!!
Now, I'm ready. Tomorrow Haleigh goes back to school-4th grade-UGH!! I'm NOT ready. Normally I would be, it's her fifth year @ the school, she is a great student, blah, blah, blah. Haleigh wasn't invited to a sleepover that took place this past weekend. Apparently, she was the only girlscout UNinvited. Now, Greg told me not to use the sweet lil' thing name due to legal issues. I'll just call her "Kate" (her parents are the formal, rich stuffy type). Haleigh has really never been friends with her. I mean, Haleigh has personality, spunk, she need not bother. What gets my size 12's all shriveled up is when I learn Haleigh was not included with the rest of the troop. Did I mention that I signed up to be room Mom this year? Did I mention that not only is "Kate" in Haleigh's class but Jeff just told me she is seated right next to Haleigh!! My job as room Mom is long but I'll just say this: it's my job to collect $$ for teacher gifts & so forth, my job to call on parent volunteers..... Do you get what I'm saying? I am going to be a fantastic room Mom, especially when it pertains to "Kate" & her Mom who, in the past, loved belting out orders. Did I also mention I'm lunch buddy 2x a week? Part of that job is going to all the kids in need of oh, a napkin, a spoon, using the restroom. Ofcourse I'll only get to fulfill these jobs if Haleigh choses to stay at POP. My parents believed with all their hearts that a Catholic school was the best place for their children to be. I love them for that, I do. It would not be fair for me to judge a public school because I never attended one. Haleigh has been in a Catholic school since K5. She has loved it. I am so thankful it's been good for her. Jeff & I have always said the day Haleigh isn't happy with school, we will pursue other options. I really needed to vent, no one seems to be up at this time of night!!
Oh yeah, this was supposed to be about our summer. Umm... went to Tweetsie (saw Sebastian & Perpetua :)) then went to Ohio & MI (finally saw where Norahs lives!!! Pat, Aidan & Brennan too!!:) ) MOVED (again) THANK YOU DAD!!!!!!! Got the flu, lost a few pounds, got better, gained more than a few pounds. Haleigh went to TENN w/ Mom & dad, got to see Steve & crew for a bit! (Nick looks good :) ) Haleigh got over her fear & LOVES swimming in the deep water & LOVES the diving board!! Haleigh had to say goodbye to good friend Janelle (moved to PA) & I said goodbye to my good friend Karen. A few weeks later, Haleigh had to say goodbye yet to another friend, her best one for 4 years: Kiara. I as well, to her Mom Tammy. Hope they come back! Finally, we made it to Charleston (just for the day :( to see Greg. It was a great day trip but too short! (by the way, say a prayer that Greg & his Mom sell their house!!
Overall, it was a great summer. Too short, a little sadness but that's life. Jack still misses the old house. He says this house is "bad". He is too cute & he loves his "sissy". He will be my partner in crime this school year. I'm glad everyone made it through the summer safely!! I hope for a chilly Fall!!!

Wow!
Fully loaded.
I forgot TODAY was her first day. I can't wait to call you!
PS-where are those pictures?!
There is no such thing as Jenna Fischer nonsense.
That is just not right that Haleigh was not invited to the bday party, especially when the rest of the girl scout troop was. Kids at that age can be so cruel.
We all know that Haleigh is a great kid and it is their loss!!
I can understand you being hesitant about POP, especially since there will be only ONE fourth grade class. I guess that is the one thing about public school that I can say that was good. We had many classes, which led to more opportunities to find different friends.
I really do hope that Haleigh's first day went well, but if she isn't happy and you choose to homeschool for a while, I'd be more than happy to help.
And if she does stay, as Room Mom, you need to rule with an iron fist. Don't let that drill sergeant of a mom try to run things!!
Sounds like you had a very busy summer!! I wish I could have made a trip up there. I will definitely make it up there sooner than later.
Call me when you're ready to get those pictures on the computer and I'll walk you through it.
